Sweden can live with a draw and I think that with a little luck they can achieve that.
I don’t think Sweden will score so they have to keep Argentina from scoring.
It could be fun if both Denmark and Sweden went on to meet in the knockouts. It could kick-start another Denmark-Sweden war |

Well, it's a match i don't want to miss! Argetina will spend all the match attacking Sweden... and then we could see if the Sweden team has a good defence division...
i don't really know if the European team could by-pass the defence of Argentina...
i say a 0-1 or a 0-2 for Argentina... _________________ =Member of the NonFlamers' Guild=

We will look at it in school if we want. But we begin after the match has ended.

I read only now that the linesman of Italy-Croazia was sent home! I thought it was a joke! I was angry but now i feel sorry... afterall he is just a man like others and man can make errors... i hope he will "re-born" more strong and prepared for another world cup! _________________ =Member of the NonFlamers' Guild=

Yog,
I am not that familiar with football/soccer terms. I take it you mean that one of the "referees" was told he did a bad job and was sent home. Why is this? What are the consequences for the teams he refereed? _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Yes i was talking of him.
I don't understand what type of conseguences are you refering to... The match is over so there aren't possibility to change the score...
@Airk: let's say that his reputation has been compromised and others teams will never accept to play with a linesman like that... it's for this reason that i'm ver sorry... i'm thinking about how it will be his life from now on... _________________ =Member of the NonFlamers' Guild=

Ok that betting idea is good. But to make it simpler we should only bet for the games to come (I mean, not 2 days in advance). What do you think? and maybe only bet on the "big" matches or else the thread will explode and become a mess. _________________ France national football team: let's construct a REAL team... |

Yes, the betting thing would create some excitement.
Who wants to be in charge and what are the rules?
@Airk: Referees also have to compete to make it through this tournament. It’s the biggest show on earth and big mistakes (e.g. disallowing legit goals) won’t be tolerated. If you do a great job then maybe you’ll end up refereeing the final, if not, you’re going home. |

Maybe we could use the poll system in some way?
Concerning the rules, I think we should make our bets in a single post, and only for the games to come the same day. What do you think?
Maybe we could then have a winner of the day. What about, we bet for the 4 games of the day. If we picked the winner we get 1 point. If we forecasted the exact result, then 3 points. The person with the most points would be the winner of the day

Rules (IMO) should be:
1. The bets must be posted before the kickstart of the first match of the day.
2. The post can contain the score without goal (ex Germany wins) or the exact result (ex Germany 2 - Spamlandia 3)
3. For each correct result a person gain 1 poin, for the exact result 3 point
We can begin from tomorrow (for the matches od post-tomorrow) and let all see this rules. We take the subscription and make a list of players. At the end who has more points win! _________________ =Member of the NonFlamers' Guild=
