Help on Penumbra summon demon quest.

I took the talking tree limb to Penumbra which I received from the merchant. She placed it in her cellar and asked me to get her a plant from outside. I now know the limb is a fake and I have the real one from the talking tree. The problem is I can't replace or move the one she already placed on the ground. How can I switch the limbs to successfully complete the quest.

Thanks,

CM

Sorry, but I think you'll have to reload to a previous save.

It's to late for a previous save. Do I do the quest anyway in which she dies, I fail the quest, but I get all the items she drops, or do I just not finish the quest??

Thanks

Since you can't reload you might as well go through with it.
