Graphically, Morrowind should be pretty good. |

The Baldur's Gate games, while not as impressive graphically, are great RPG's. Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment, hell, there are dozens out there.
But I gotta say, I am LOVING Gothic! |

Ok... try the Baldur's Gate series or, if you like Action-RPG's, well, then there's always Diablo II. You could also try Nox, the first RPG I ever finished (quite new though). |

- Nox, Diable II are very action, they are maybe not RPGs...
- Icewind Dale + Heart of Winter are very good and in portion of action between Dia2 and BG
- BG1+2 and ToB are pure RPGs with many NPCs and huge world and at least good nonlinearity (but there is still enough fights in them)

Yes Summoner was really good. I hope they will change their mind and release Summoner2 also for PCs.

Ultima 9 is the closest thing to Gothic you're gonna see until Morrowind.

Yes, Diablo II and Nox are, indeed, very action, but maybe it's better to start in the world of RPG's through action. |

Close to Gothic, I have to say Ultima IX too. But be sure to get the patch 1.18f before starting the game!
Another action RPG could be "Revenant" with advanced action combat moves. |
