Well, lets assume that the actual number of reachable reserves is something like 60 years. This means the real crunch (price and availability wise) should start to come in about 20-30 years (maybe sooner). Why so soon you ask?

Alot of the reserves are going to be in small or hard to reach deposits. These will cost significantly more to reach than the current fields. Add to that, national paranonia (since oil is needed for defence) and the crunch comes MUCH sooner.

Just some gist for the thought mill.
