I know I should already know this, but what exactly is RealPlayer for? I've had it on every computer I've ever owned but never really payed any attention to it (that I can remember). Is it required to play some videos? Is it just for music? If I removed it from my computer would I have any problems playing any games or watching any movie trailors?
Thanks. _________________ I am the founder and former leader of a guild in EQ, retired member of The Code in EQ, original member of KOE in AOE2, past Corporal of EVO in MOHAA, respected veteran of UT 2003, a conquerer of all decent games, and an aspiring game developer.

It's pretty much the same as Windows Media Player. It shouldn't effect your games. It might effect streaming audio or video if it's the only available format for a site. But most offer the trailer/music/whatever in multiple formats. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Perfect reply! Thanks, Val! I'm going to delete it. This thing keeps showing up on my taskbar and blinking for updates that I can't download because it can't connect to the update server. Anyway, I could use the space. I'm using a 10,000RPM 66.1GB (?) hard drive (fairly small). _________________ I am the founder and former leader of a guild in EQ, retired member of The Code in EQ, original member of KOE in AOE2, past Corporal of EVO in MOHAA, respected veteran of UT 2003, a conquerer of all decent games, and an aspiring game developer.
