Norton Internet Security blocks RPGDot |
|
My norton Internet Security blocks the RPGDOT sites. It is the only site that my NIS blocks completely.
Its very irritating because i have to turn of my protection to visit this site, with my previous version of NIS (2003) i did not have those problems.
How can i fix this, if other people have the same problems it might cause a drop in visisters.
Thanks _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Does it tell you why it is blocked? We have nothing running here, at least to my knowledge, that could cause the site being blocked - not even ads at the time _________________ Rendelius

I think it's because this is a 'wicked' site!! I know I spend far too much time here enjoying myself!! That can't be legal can it? Myrthos will probably figure it out. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

I haven't use Norton products for 2-3 years since they seriously screwed up and slow down my PC.
There should be manual internet security settings, no? try to find them. |

The screen just stays empty. I know NIS blocks some pictures but i never before had that it blocked a page.
Could that be the problem? _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

There should be a way to declare RPGDot as a trusted site. Have you tried that? _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I tried that before and that did not work, i finnaly tested every setting (4) on their own and rpgdot gets blocked on commercials supression (i got a Dutch version so this is a rough translation.
The 4 parts of NIS are
Privacy Control
Commercal suppression (reclame onderdrukken)
Norton Antispam
Parential supervision.
Now i located the problem so at least i don't have to take down the entire NIS to visit. That is great.
But to fix the problem i need the html-signslines to add so the site doesn't get blocked anymore. That should take some testing.
Thanks for the help so far. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Great . If this ever happens again, check if ads.rpgdot.com has changed into something else (this will happen in the near future). _________________ Rendelius
