How do I heal the Spirit? I have both poison and an antidote. Naturally, being a druid, I want to heal the Spirit, not kill it. I've tried placing the antidote on one of the altars, but nothing happens. The SPirit just attacks. You can't just "give" the antidote to the Spirit. So how do you heal it? |

Attack the deer to a point that it gives up. Then 'talk' to it for a few times (I tried two times) until it accepts your intention to cure it. |

Oh oh. I have a bug in my game that makes hostile characters turn neutral, and obviously it's affecting the Sprit as well because it never stops attacking until it's dead.
And of course playing the patched version doesn't help at all, to my chagrin.
I'll have to keep replaying this segment until the game responds correctly (which it does, eventually). |

Try 'charming' it.
I had the opposite problem....a guy near the Druid Grove (outside Neverwinter Wood) asked me for help, which turned out to be a trap. He yells for his animals to attack, then they all sort of froze. I would get the 'talk' icon when passing my mouse over them but if I clicked on them, nothing happened.. Nothing changed until I taunted the guy....then, of course, I had to kill him and his animals. Ah well, I did get an ear out of the whole thing. _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

Same happened for me, eventhough I just forced attacked them, until the guy gave up in his near death experience. I did let him go (but did get his ear, yuk) and earned some points towards good alignment.
Regarding the "Spirit of the wood": Be carefull with your henchman, because if the "Spirit of the wood" gets attacked after it surrenders to talk the first time it gets hostile again, and you have to kill it. If the Henchman is preparing a final attack at the same time the Spirit surrenders, the Spirit gets hostile again.
I did let my henchman "hold the position" out of the range for the Spirit, and had not problem making the Spirit surrender after beating half do death, I talked it into using the "Antidote" potion which I found at the fireplace! _________________ Moderator on RPGdot.com Forum.
