I got into the thieves guild by doing everything the good thieves way. So i did not have to kill atilla (?).
I wnet into the thieves place, talked to Jesper, after that he walked away and i killed him and took his stuff.
Is he needed for something later in the game?

ya, he can teach you how to sneak around. but thats not something you absolutely need to know.

Bartok can teach you how to sneak, so is Jesper usefull for anything else?

Jasper gives you a quest in chapter 3 worth about 300 exp. And gives you the key you killed him for. |

if you are in chapter 2 you can get another amulet of +15 str and still get jaspers quest. the ammy in chap 2 is near the swampsharks by a skeleton on a tree. If you absolutely need the +15 ammy in chapter 1 then kill the guy but ur missing out on a bunch of thief quests that are a ton of fun to do. |

That is not the question, i wanted to know if Jesper is usefull for something lateronn in the game.
