What is a good way to increase the Intelligence attribute? |
|
What is the best, or fastest, way to increase this attribute? I'd prefer a non-magical way because I am a warrior and I have not even touched any magic in the game besides my handy dandy Tower Key spell...I love that thing. The problem, though, is that it only unlocks up to lvl 50 locks so I am trying to beef up my security through training. But I cannot continue my training until I raise this particular attribute. |

The easiest way to ensure you get the maximum possible intelligence boost at level-up is with the alchemy exploit. You buy ingredients from merchants (that is where the cheating comes) and then mix potions over and over. You'll end up with a ton of cash and your INT multiplier will always be 5 if you do it right. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

It's easy if he has a little alchemy skill, but when I tried to train in Alchemy whenI had around 70, it was sooo boring! |

It's pretty boring knocking out potions when your skill is below 70, too, IMO. Every character I've attempted in MW took advantage of it, though, as tedious as it was. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

If you have a warrior, you really don't need any intelligence. My Knight's intelligence was in the 30 - 50 range until all his Knight-ly attributes (strength, endurance, agility, willpower, speed) were in the 80-100 range.
To solve your "unlock" issue, just think like a warrior....
Beat up things in smuggler's caves.
Take the Unlock scrolls that are often found there.
You may have to be at a relatively high level for that to spawn the 100 mag unlock scrolls, but eventually, you'll have plenty of them to complete the game with ease. And you're Tower Key ability will get you through quite well until your character gets to that high level, anyway. In fact, the Tower Key ability is one of the most useful abilities for a warrior type specifically because it fits well with the warrior's way to handle locks.
Or, you can go the warrior with a little enchantment route (which was perfect for my Knight)
Beat up things to get stuff to sell.
Use money to buy an unlock spell.
Beat up more things to get stuff to sell.
Use money to enchant an item with 100 mag unlock spell.
Use item to unlock things.
Please note all the "Beat up things" steps in both methods. Trust me, for a warrior character, either of these methods will be a LOT more fun than trying to make your warrior act like a mage or thief.
This is also a good way for a warrior to solve other issues, too -- like floating through the air and dealing with traps. |
