| Ald'ruhn thief quest HELP!! |

Hi all..
I am in Ald'ruhn, and got a task from someone going by "the Jeweler" there. He wants me to go into the Mages guild there, and take something (forget exactly what) with the word "Devil" in it. All of the mages are gone, except one. When I entered the guild, that guy attacked me, so I killed him. Then, I searched the whole damn building except one room because I can't pick the lock (too complex). So, can anyone tell me where I can find that item??? I have picked all locks except that door and one chest I think (it's too complex, too..) Thanks!

It's probably in the container you didn't open. I recall the Devil Tanto being in the room to the right of the stairs in a chest. I'm not totally sure though. |

Well, if that's the case, how do I get to even attempt to lockpick a chest that's "too complex"?? I guess I need to raise my security skill, but the only effective way to do that is to pay for training.
Oh well....guess that's the end of my quests for the thieves guild..

I'm having that problem also.
I've searched ALL the chests and barrels etc. Opened all doors. Spent 25 mins or so (that's a very long time if you know how small the mage guild is) going through the mage guild again and again. It's simply not there.  |

Yes, its there, stumped me too though...thought I needed to raise my
open magic skills to 100, which I did by designing open spell with spellmaker. Uses all my magica, (65) but works, turns out though the sword was in a small chest on bookcase with open level of 65. Did clean out the enture place though. It is in there. |

I used mu lockpick to open them all. Small and big. I know the chest you're talking about but it wasn't there. |
