Spirit Staffs

I accidently sold all the ones I had without giving them to antonine. Is there anywhere else they can be found apart from those couple you fight in tryton? Is the weapon you get any good? I have the 2 other components the ebon gem and mummy dust.

edit: or possibly a way to get them to spawn again? I foolishisly used the 4 pieces of incense on the braziers, will that stop them to repop?

I never kept my spirit staff. I sold it also. Not sure if the weapon that you can get crafted is any good. But by judgement from other stuff that I have crafted it's ok. It doesn't dramatically improve you power. Don't worry, you'll be fine without them. As for finding them again, not sure, but I think you can.

What's your party like?

Most of the time, you can get an encounter with the critters that drop spirit staves near the zoo. There's no guarantee after the first time, but that's probably the most likely place to get one since you've already hit the 2 set encounters.

The Ebon Staff is a good weapon for a caster. It does decent damage, has a critical effect, and is extended range. Since casters will generally be in the back row, that extended range is important. I usually try to get one, but it's not a crisis if you can't.

There is another set drop for the Spirit Staff, but it involves killing a "good guy".

I found tons of Spirit Staffs on Ascension Peak, but by the time you get that far into the game you'll probably have already found better weapons.
