How many times did you finish Wizardry 8?

I guess we have time for another small poll.

I wonder who of us is most "experience Wiz8 player" so add your comments, so we know who is "winner". And also add if you are planning to play once more.

I've managed to win twice. Hmm... perhaps I'll fire up a new session. I've been wanting to experiment with that all-hobbit party.

I'm about 1/3 through with my current crew. I've won once and restarted after Arnika or Trynton 5 or 6 times in the past. This journey is all Max's fault, although I'm not complaining too much... I may have to go again after I get these guys through. I've started gadgeteers several times, but I never stuck with one. I'll have to fix that omission some time.

well, I have two crews going, although one is a solo crew. They're both very early on, since I am thorough and like to kill/explore everything before moving on.

Ah, another "complete-ist". I never did understand the "power gamer" approach of stomping through the main story and not stopping to smell the roses (and then kill them). They miss so much... One reason I'm replaying right now is that I completely missed an area (the death lord burrow) last time.

Exactly, although they spend less time finishing the game

I haven't finished it YET, but I'm playing it with two parties at once.

My main party is at Trynton and my magic-heavy party is in the Upper Monastery.

I'm on first time through in Rapax castle, and definitely going to finish it. You can't do everything in one shot, and I definitely will replay it. I hear so much about other clasess I'm not using that I want to try out on characters (not RPC), that I know 3 classes for my next party I want to play with. And I know there's stuff I missed. Like I found the Death Lord burrow (assuming we're talking about the same thing!), but didn't explore the mines (just solved the puzzle and went straight for it.... one of those I found the solution before I knew I had a problem situations).

Burrow is supposedly in the mountain wilderness (IIRC). I'll be more specific once I find the place

POSSIBLE SMALL SPOILER....

For all you complete-ists out there, did you find the three easter-egg dungeons? I'll say no more than that for now!

**Spoil you completely...**

There are 6 'runes' in the Graveyard in the Arnika-Trynton road, 6 'runes' in the Mountain Wilderness, and 6 'runes' in the Northern Wilderness. Touching all six makes a nearby item require a specific item. Put in the item, and look for the new mushroom patch nearby. Enter the Dungeon and have fun!

Cemetety - Dagger, place it right in the corner of the cemetary.
Mountain Wilderness - Long Sword, placed in the altar surrounded by the circle of runestones.
Northern Wilderness - Short Staff.
