I *think* it had to do with dreams and expectations buried in the dark haired woman's mind. Her mind used them as foils, the pressures of innocent expectations of the past perverted by actual subsequent events that fell far short of the dreams going in. Dang! That was a mouthful and I am not 100% sure it is what I meant to say *Lintra rubs his temples and looks quizzical*

Yeah, they were kinda weird. But they fit the story quite well.

Well, I always thought that the old mini couple represented her guilt or something since she ordered those hitmen to kill the black haired woman. The blue key signified that the deed was done and when the old mini man and woman came she went mad and shot herself with grief or something? I think that scene was one of the few that were played out in "reality".

And another thing... that whole resturaunt scene, with the hiddeous man. What was THAT about?

About Lost Highway. At first I thought it would be some horror flick with the whole party+phone conversation. Then it was completely derailed in the end with the desert house and Mr. Eddie. Never liked that.

Let me see... I have many favorite films, but which of them I favor most depends on my mood.

Right now my favorite movies are (in no particular order)

Fight Club
Black Hawk Down
The Empire Strikes Back
The Golden Voyage of Sinbad
Aliens
Ghost in the Shell
The Usual Suspects
Ravenous
Pitch Black
Reservoir Dogs
Final Fantasy

One more recent movie that managed to impress me was Vanilla Sky. I did not know what it was about, not at all, so I did not expect anything at all, and I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, it impressed me enough to make me think about it for quite some time. The only other more recent
'film' that made such a deep impression on me was Band of Brothers, but it's not a movie so it doesn't qualify.

Heres three off the top of my head:

Bottle Rocket - Just saw this again this weekend. Hilarious. Same director as Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums with Owen and Luke Wilson, but much better than the other two. If you have'nt seen it yet, check it out.
Dr. Strangelove - nuff said
Brazil - Terry Gilliam dystopia movie, bizarre but excellent

I'm very OLD fashioned I like the old MGM musicals. Favourite film would be 'Singing in the Rain' followed by almost any Fred Astaire film.

I think I need to redo my lists, I keep thinking of other movies I love that I didn't put down, and I am ashamed of myself. That's what happens when you write a list with no caffine in your system.

Event Horizon is one of the scariest and coolest movies I have seen... The Star Wars movies are great too.
