As a game designer, i know that my personality imprints on what i write. Either through conscious or subconscious thought, what i create will have leaning towards my beliefs, my hopes, and reflect the environment around me. To say that Cleve's racist views have nothing to do with his game is both naive and dangerous thinking.
I never heard of the game before today, but after researching this Cleve fellow i know now that i wasn't missing much. There is nothing, as a designer, that i would want to pick up from this individual. His form of bile is something i find personally revolting and the off chance that it shines through in his game is enough to warrent not putting my money into his pocket for it.
Honestly, i'm glad i found this thread through the codex. As an RPG fan i might have picked up a copy when it came out.
Corwin, your defense of Cleve comes across as self-deluded and naive. Do you honestly want to be associated with someone as blatantly racist as Cleve over something as pointless as a piece of disposable entertainment? If you're half as intelligent as your writing makes you out to be then the answer should be a resounding "No"

Well. How is the beta test going?
I hope we are getting close to completion.
This last guest post before mine could easily be a Sol Invictus post again.
Of course, I may be wrong, but on net you never know (at least not with todays average net security infrastructure). |

You can read on www.goldeneragames.com that Cleve is very busy with money earning.
This is a bad news. |

Corwin, where is Grimoire? |
|
According to a June posting by Corwin, we should all be playing Grimoire by now. It was in it's FINAL beta test. It was going to be released in OCTOBER OF THIS YEAR.
I just looked at my calendar and it says November. Where is Grimoire? I think it might be at www.vaporware.com but maybe somebody has a better link _________________ 'nut |

Hello Corwin,
the same question as last year in this thread.
WHERE IS GRIMOIRE?
"cleve is very positive about Oktober". Ok, it was not 1997, not 2004, not 2005.
Let me guess, next year, for sure? |

That would be quite funny. However I doubt most people would be any more suspicious about an announcement that it would be released on April 1, then they would about an announcement that it would be released on any other day...... |
