My pulse was starting to quicken when I was ready to stab the last heart, when I saw the movie jump in I was thinkin "Oh yea, time to fight Beast!" Then the credits rolled up and I was like, huh? |

Really, I was frustrated by the end. In Outcast (a similar game), the end was so great... but in Gothic it was horrible (de quoi déprimer!). Maybe a real end for Gothic will be included in Gothic 2...

Yes, by the time you see the Sleeper you have fought everyone that needed their arse kicked (and even some who didn't need it). It would have been nice to take the Sleeper on for some serious arse kicking; but who knows what lurkes ahead in Gothic II. He did say the adventure had just begun.

I have given up on 3D shooters entirely. They're all pretty much the same, my modem is 56k which rules out serious internet play, and I'm sick to death of them. |

I think the sleeper was too tough to be destroyed by a mere mortal, only banished. Besides, it sets up for the sequel nicely.
Actually, it would be cool at that point to give you that "multiple ending" thing, like "join it or banish it". Say, if you'd joined the swamp camp and worshiped it, the sleeper would give you some kick-a$$ dark powers, so you could go on an evil rampage or something... |

If I remember correctly this potion gives +10 to mana and the description says something to the effect of "To strenghten the spirit of the one awakening the Sleeper" In the end he is already awake. |
