I am playing the "Vietnam SOG69"-Mod for JA-Unfinished Business (Author: BecomingX) for some time now and ... it rocks. This campaign is much longer than the original JA:UB-campaign. Fight your way through the Vietnam Jungle, get some new cool party members (do you know the movie "Platoon" ?), many new weapons, high difficulty, pure fun.
Another great game-patch/mod is "Deidranna Lives" for Jagged Alliance 2.

If anyone has played some other good mods for JA 2 or JA:UB please let me know - I can't get enough of this game.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but only came across your thread just now.
I still play JA2 and have done since its release. Haven't been able to pick up a copy of UB anywhere. Is it abandonware now ??
I once heard stuff about JA3 (awesome), but thne more stuff about it being dropped...damn!
I haven't tried any mods, in fact, until I read your post, I didn't realise that there were any....thanks for info.
I still play my X-Com series of games....not enough games like it for me.
Any games that are in the same mould as JA2 & X-Com that you are aware of that I should check out ??
I tried Fallout Tactics once, but...I dont know...just didn't get into it,
Ive also seen a game now on budget..I think it was called Airborne 101 or similar...only £5....
Anyway, nwo Im in that frame of mind, I think I will give Divine Divinity a miss this weekend and have another session with Deirdrana.....I still feel sorry for Elliot every time I see him....
