Well what can I say then with my NVIDIA GeForce4MX4000

I cannot think of many reasons to have something like that in a gamer PC. Everything with an MX in its name was an outdated POS when it came out.

Didn�t you consider getting at least a sligtly better card?

We�re talking about graphics cards. This is often the weakness in a standard PC you can buy at the supermarket or from an online vendor because every fast card has several slower brothers with almost the same name.
Choosing the graphics card is very important. Just imagine you put winter tires with 100 mph maximum on your Porsche. What�s faster, your Porsche or his poor little stepbrother, a solid Skoda with a medium sized engine and standard summer tires ?
Graphics card speed is often a trade off against compatibility. The only excpetion in the last few years was the above-mentioned GeForce 4 Ti series, which was both fast and reliable. Now it�s oudated, unfortunately.
