loosing health

Why am I loosing health as I go along in the game even when I am standing still? The character keeps saying "I'm hungry". Does this have anything to do with his health? If it does, how do I get and eat the food?

You should be finding food all over the place, from carrots to bread and even meat/ribs from some of the mobs you kill. Just "use" the food item.

Also make sure you're patched up. Some of the early versions had a hunger bug that was very annoying.
