ok well I have a 566 processor, 192 ram, ATI RAGE 128 Vid Card.

Well my problem is when I start the game I get a message saying.
C:zMusic_DM.cpp(zCMusicSys_DirectMusic::Ini()
)Failed to create performance object!

What does this mean and how can I fix it. I already tried disabling the sound in the Gothic.ini But is didn't work.

Are your drivers up to date?
For me this sounds like a DirectX problem.
What soundcard and OS do you have?

ok thanks it was the direct x. I dl 8.1 and the game started running. Thanks..
