How do I do a quick save or quick load?

The subject lines says it all. Surely there is someway to do a quick save and a quick restore last saved game. I think I've seen posts about it, but can't find them. The manual that comes with the English version could be better.

Thanks
M

Find the gothic.ini file. It is fully documented and lets you set many options including the one you want.

And be careful. DO NOT use quicksave during combat or dialogs or you risk a damaged savegame.

Due to how buggy and crash prone the game seems to be for me, I also don't save when holding a torch, or being in combat mode, or being in a heavily crowded spot, or standing on questionable slopes, or wherever the graphics are pushin my systems limits...

It may not matter, but I'm just being safe.
