30 in strength?

Now let me tell you something Lintra, YOU NEED STRENGTH! By the time I became a guard, I had 100 in strength. And yes, I took Lares weapon (I really hated him.) So the minecrwalker queen and her minions was easy to beat, I didn't take any damage at all.

(Hin, hint: If I remember right, you can beat down one person in the castle (Where Gomez throne is) and not get killed. I think you can do that. So if you want to, save your game, and beat down a person there and take his stuff. I think one of them have the best crossbow in the game. You don't have to, though.)
