Horizons: Preview @ UGO

UGO has posted a preview of Artifact's Horizons which is due to be released real soon now:
Now don't go thinking, "Oh, they've gone and put in dragons as a gimmick. These are probably just large, scaly cows that lumber around the world and use fire spells." How do I know what you're thinking? Because I thought the very same thing before I actually got to see said dragons in action. Let me tell you right now, without hesitation, that these are dragons in every way, shape and form. Their graphical style is actually rather close to the 007-voiced beast in Dragonheart. Scaly bodies, massive wingspan, large, pointy snouts, etc. But the real test is not that it looks like a dragon, but whether it acts like one, as well. Let's go down the list, shall we?

Fire-breathing attacks, check. Powerful swiping claws? Check. The ability to fly? Check plus.
It's a bit disconcerting that they've developed a whole mini-site around this article. It makes it feel less like an article and more like a huge ad to me.

Definitely just a big advert for horizons, somebodies in bed with somebody, made some kinda deal, nothing in that "preview" remotely like any kind of honest look at what the game really gives you (nothing worth paying for at the moment, just another typical lauch of a unfinished game to make the money-men happy). Truth is horizons is a extreme disapointment, totally generic, deeply lacking in any kind of interesting content (I was in the beta for many months)

Seems pretty obvious to me too! But it also looks like an ad. There is a sidebar that is totally a "how to buy" and when I hosted a web site, the entire UGO empire is pretty much commercial, isn't it? That said, I really fancy Horizons because its about community, about trades, about something else -- very different from the upcoming UX:O and so although the launch is in a few days and there is some bashing going on, some of the commends I have seen here have been fixating on some hardware/software issues and the heart is there!
