No Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion for PS3/PSP, says Bethsoft |
|
Contrary to rumours, there are no plans for a PS3 or PSP version of Oblivion according to Bethsoft. Here's the details courtesy of <a href="http://www.jolt.co.uk/" target="_blank">Jolt</a>:<blockquote><em>Bethesda has responded to rumours that the developer is due to bring its million selling The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to PlayStation 3 and PSP before the end of the year.
<br>Stories appeared across the web yesterday reporting that a supposed Bethesda release list had been leaked, which revealed that Oblivion was in development for both PS3 and PSP. However, according to Bethesda, such talk is nothing but fantasy.
<br>
<br>"At present we have no announced plans to bring Oblivion to any platforms other than PC or Xbox 360," the company insisted in a statement released yesterday.</em></blockquote> |

Those stinking Bethesda apes! The bastards blew it all up! Now we must all suffer in the planet of the X-Box monkees while the civilized Pc world burns to ashes! |

Actually, all they're saying is that they haven't announced any plans to bring the game to any other formats, which is something we allready knew. They haven't denied (or confirmed, for that matter) that the rumours are true. |

Exactly what Fluffy Bunny said ...
quote:
At present we have no announced plans
Very generic non-denial denial ...
I would love to see it portable for PSP, but I've been joking that if they did the load times would be so long it would qualify as 'episodic content'

No announced plans != no existing plans
Furthermore, no plans != no
The news title goes beyond misleading. |

Beyond misleading? I've edited the title and the newsbit. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

Odd. The title still says "No Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion for PS3/PSP", not "No Plans for Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion for PS3/PSP" |

No, it doesn't - just refresh the front page. I wouldn't change it to "No plans..." because that would be misleading - it says "No announced plans...". _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |
