| HELP, game not starting (Windows XP) |

oook, so im damned
the game not starts... just nothing.. now i payd for nothing
windows xp Prof
killed all progs too (+antivirus)
my system configuration:
AMD Athlon XP 1700+ (1466mhz)
Elitegroup K7S5A SIS Chipset
NVidia Gforce 4 mx 440
Sound: Xwave 7100 (CMI 8738,5.1 sound system, onboard AC'97 deactivated!)
sounsystem: Terratec Home theater 5.1
HP Photosmart p1000 (should doesent matter on games..) |

Strange. I also had a K7S5a for a year. Gothic worked on it under WinXP. Are you sure the soundcard is completely disabled? Gothic didnīt like one sound chip, and while I donīt remember the exact name yours sounds familiar.

i really deactivated it...
in BIOS i just deactivated it by features setup  it just not starts but should i kill my other soundcard toO?
(building out of comp) for testin
mh thanx for your helpin
edit; should i have a GERMAN game cd for GERMAN game?
im german and i think i got the english cd's cause the installation is english + the patch version 1.08J |

1.08j is also the German budget version (AK Tronic Pyramide, Gold Games).
I would disable the sound card and try the onboard AC97 sound.
If youīre German you should ask for help at the WorldofGothic.de forums. This increases your chances.

Not cause i deactivated the card..
Its just... JUST going
I reinstalled it out of fun
and it was going
i dont know why some game are fukked up and in some days theyre going....
