Hi, i might be buying a Mac soon and i want to know if the Gothic series so far has also been made for Mac. I've already played both games all the way through several times, but i'm wondering if they are out in Mac just to see if it looks like Gothic 3 will be available on Mac because it would be devestating for me not to be able to play that game.
thanks |

My advice to you is to go ahead and get your MAC, but keep your PC around if you want to continue playing the latest games... _________________ All shall hear the words of Karras...the words of Karras |

If you are Gamer, then going Mac only is a HUUUUUUGE mistake. The company I work for uses nothing but Macs, and alot of my coleagues are Mac fanboys, but every single one of them who is interested in games plays them on PC. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

Games are written specificaly for one system or the other. While its true that a few of the high profile games get ported to Mac, it simply does ot have anything like the selection that the PC does.
I have nothing against Macs (OSX is especialy nice), but for gaming its got a long way to go... _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

What's the difference between MAC and normal CPU? MAC is just a office computer, but has something better than normal CPU? _________________ I really, really tried to figure out something clever here like "Life is a waterfall" and artistic stuff like that but no! Mac is not just an office computer. Its just a different architecture than PC.
To explain the different would require pages and pages of explanation on CPU architectures, RISC vs CISC, CPU bits, Different OS's etc. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

I would thing you could run a game in emulation. A MAC will run many windows bases programs this way. The performance might suck though. _________________ Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?

Connectix virtual PC is the most popular emulator for the Mac and its a freaking joke. We tried to use it here just to run M$ office/Visual C++ and it was painful.
We tried a couple of games on it and they wouldnt even run. As far as I know it has no Direct3D support whatsoever.
Just do yourself a favor and stick with a PC for games. The Mac excels at a lot of things, but games is not one of them.
Trust me, I have been supporting a 100% Mac based network now for almost 3yrs, I know what I'm talking about. _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |
