Concernning the change of Paladin armor's look |
|
As one of the artwork at WOW that had been shown recently, the look of paladin's armor has changed a lot. It is obvious to judge that the new armor's type could offer more highly protection than that the old one could do but, at the same time, it's look is less amazing than that of the original one as which on the cover of GII gold editon that had been shown... (Especially, the new look is a bit "fat" after all)
Personally speaking, I am a bit disappointed indeed.
And, where is the helmet anyway??

I think the armor moulds onto the body, so the character is actually fat, not the armor.
It is probably less amazing because the original one was forged when the Kingdom had more resources, but now, when the orcs have conquered a large part of Myrtana, armor and weapons alike are of lesser quality. |

I think that there are many versions of Paladin armor or you can take( and wear) the hamlet separately |

This armor looks like it actually has seen some combat.
As the humans are losing the thing, why not plunder fallen warriors for their armor? As the armor has passed from dead to soon-be-dead, these armours could have been in dozens of battles and look exactly like it. |

Not sure about the armor, but the axe looks fantastic. |

Up to now, all those "good" weapons have only been seen as orcish ones, like the orcish axe which seems so great that only the "troll first" (G1) or the "barbarian's axe" (G2) which once had been considered as very powerful weapon can be compared with that.
I'd very like to know the "weapon for king" by now, according to the concept art, it should be an one-handed sword ... although I'm a two-hander for most of the time. _________________ 道可道也,非恒道也。名可名也,非恒名也。

Necro, to be honest, I think the new Paladin's armor looks better then the one from before. It looks both more realistic and it fits a warrior better. In battle, an armor does not stay shiny and without bumps or scratches. The new armors look more like an armor veteran's would equip. _________________ Always wondering how it would be... |
