What is your favourite console and game and reason for that?

Mines Xbox, Halo 2, cos its frantic gunning action and those grunts are funny

Bomberman back on my old chineese clone of the NES. Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros and a couple more were pretty fun to play, really. Probably much better than all the things we are forced to call good games these days.

I have very fond memories of playing "Magic Carpet" on the orginal Playstation years ago. Might be because it was the first game I played after a long military deployment and months of isolation

Dr. Mario is pure evil. I think that game was made just to give me a brain tumor. My wife's grandparents can beat me at it and my wife can destroy me. But I can crush them all in tetris.

From nes: supermario bros, duck hunt and megaman 2.I spent countless of hours with my friends playing these classics.Man those games were HARD.I once tried megaman 2 on emulator. I couldn't even finish the first stage!Darn we were talented gamers back then and our nerves were made of steel.Nowdays i go crying if i don't have a save-load..

From Sega megadrive:

1) Sonic the hedgehog is maybe the fastest game on earth. In addition to that music is bloody fantastic.

2) Mortal kombat - Finish him! Fatality! Show me a guy who wouldn't be cheering when the game offers a chance to humilate your opponent by rupturing his spinal column off! Intresting detail is that Nintendo cencored SNES version of mortal combat, so people who loved the violence aspect had to buy megadrive instead of super nintendo.

From PSX:Metal gear soldid(maybe too cutscene heavy gameplay, but the story is terrific), Tekken 3(Ultimate fun with your pals), resident evil 2(my favorite horror-game).

Actually, I didn's say I was good, either. But it makes for a nice torment for the poor souls around here ....

I actually had forgotten all about Duck Hunt. If it was the game where I had to shoot ducks on the TV with the NES gun, that game is pure classic.

Do you count hand-held gaming devices as "consoles"? If so, then my answer has to be the game I've played more hours of than anything else, the game which I can usually complete on the most difficult level normally available, the game whose music haunts my dreams, and whose addictive game mechanics mean that I can never look at the world without mentally forming geometrics and re-arranging them...

Tetris, on the classic Game Boy.

Duck Hunt! Hell yeah! I was playing that game up until the day I left for boot camp. I could get higher scores shooting under my legs than my friends could shooting normally. But damn that dog, damn him to hell!! GYAH!

check him out, he's mocking you!

You can get your revenge with this flash game tho, where your goal is to shoot the dog. Work it out, it'll be cathartic and fun as well!

Actually, the dog is one of the best NPCs in a game ever. Sometimes I would intentionally miss out all ducks so I could have him on the screen.

Gosh, all this talk about makes me go out and see if those chinese things are still on sale

Probably SNES because of the the old RPGs - Lufia II, Paladin's Quest, Dragon Quest series, Secrets of Mana, Star Ocean, Shin Megami Tensei etc...
