It is December now, but I don't see Gothic 2 at Walmart or Target. How is Grandma going to put G2 in little Timmy's stocking if she doesn't see it at Walmart: the largest retailer in the US? _________________ "You two are a regular ol' Three Musketeers." |

It has been at WalMart for over 1 month. It is either at the bottom of shelf or sold out. Look hard. I am in Iowa store Super Wal-Mart. _________________ Wo ist mein Sumpfkraut? |

Hmm, well I've checked several times at a super walmart in the Houston area, but no luck. _________________ "You two are a regular ol' Three Musketeers." |

Well do what the illegal immigrants here in CA do! File a lawsuite!!! You could call it a 'Inventory Stocking Discrimination' issue - Walmart is purposfully not stocking Gothic 2 thereby discriminating against the title, the publisher, the developer, and the consumer!

No need for sarcasm. My comment was questioning Atari's seeming lack of NA distribution for G2 after sitting on it for so many months. I want G3+ made very badly, and not having a wide audience for G2 hurts development for G3.
Maybe I will sue you for your hurtful sarcastic remarks...o' how can I ever recover from such a devastating verbal attack? Let's see headaches, sleeplessness, tearful nights...$$$! Woohoo! _________________ "You two are a regular ol' Three Musketeers." |

This was the same way I felt about G1. G1, once I discovered it in the bargain bin nearly a year later, and only because I found RpgDot which made me aware of G1, did I play it.
The Gothic games are fantastic. With G2, I continue to be perplexed by how little the game is advertised and how many CRPG fans don't seem to be aware of the series.

I went to the Wal-Mart near where I live the other day and saw several copies of Gothic 2 neatly stacked on the PC games shelf. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

I'm not sure Atari does a good job advertising its games, but neither does PB. We still don't have an english web site for the expansion and the Gothic I site was not updated for an enternity. Perhaps, this kind of behavior does not encourage enthusiasum among American game reviewers. I'm not bashing Gothic or PB, but I think more effort could be put into courting english speaking gamers. |

Atari dropped the ball, let it roll out the door, then allowed it to get run over by a passing garbage truck (Gamespy). _________________ -=Professional Secret Agent=-

I am not frustrated that I can't get it, because I can. I am frustrated that everyone can't get it. Not everyone can or will go online to buy a game, and a certain percentage will will buy on impulse. That won't happen if the game is not in the stores. _________________ "You two are a regular ol' Three Musketeers." |
