I don't know about that. Some of the top mercenaries (Torlof, etc) would put up quite a fight with the templars; their huge axes do more damage. |

Statistically, the Templars are the best. They are trained(some are masters) of the two handed sword(no, veteran guards are NOT trained as far as I know), and they even have more HP if I'm not misstaken.
In general, one of the best Templar can beat up a Veteran from the Old Camp, and one of the best Mercenaries from the New Camp. |

Well the way i c it is that the NC could probably take the OC cause the NC guys have better weapons compaired to he NC with their crappy swords. But the SC could take the NC or the OC cause they have way better fighters and weapons and they all can cast spells

I agree with HiveTyrant: even though the OC numbers' are greater than the others, we all know the importance of weapons in Gothic(give superb weapons to a mediocre warrior, and he is suddenly a great warrior).
And don't come with another "OC-castle" post, because as we've already said, most of the battles would be actual battles, not sieges. |
