Crypt level 6 - Help with the damn floor puzzle

I'm stuck. I have all the carved stone pieces but I can't for the life of me figure out what pedestals they go on. I've turned the wheels the right way already. Thanks in advance. Spoil me like an only child.

Once the wheels have been turned so that the outside symbols are in the right order, you should get a cutscene and the round pedestals move up. Then place the carved stones on the round pedestals to match the inside symbols.

maybe this helps

i did exactly as it was said earlier, raised the pedestals then matched the INSIDE RUNES> still it didnt lift the portculis. i had to pick each one up and put back down again on each pedestal, then got through. guess second time is a charm in many places in this game. i swear i didnt change a thing, just did them all a second time. when at first you dont succeed, dont forget to try again. many doors and other things have worked a second time for me throughout. maybe i dont have enough stats in "figuring out the stupid puzzles" characteristic.

right after this, as you taking the shield back to princess leia's counterpart here... (can you say RIPOFF)... (if only Arkbaa says at the end, "I am your father, Am Shagar)...

you run into that lichie... if you draw him up and around one of sides of the big chamber, you can just run down the length of the other side and not have to fight him at all ! I have yet to do the two one level below... will let you know about them when i get there.....
