Alchemy bug?

I'm having some real problems with alchemy. I'm trying to make a restore magika potion, and I have two ingredients that do this. But when I try to select them to put them in the ingredient slot, they just vanish. Not in the ingredient slot, and gone from my inventory. What gives with this? Has anyone else had this problem? I've succesfully made other potions, but for some reason this just isn't working.
