I've hunted all over and searched gamespot. Can anyone recommend an rpg that can be played with a few friends over lan? We prefer first person.

Something like Morrowind that you can play with friends.

Well, if you want a fairly stable game, then try Neverwinter Nights. I believe there is a hak available that'll make it first person, but I wouldn't want to play it that way. It can potentially be a lot of fun if you roleplay. If you'd like to test it out, then I'd suggest joining in on one of our Saturday sessions.

First person RPG for LAN play? I donīt think such a game exists.

The upcoming Dark Messiah of M&M will have MP for up to 32 players. How much RPG it is, especially in MP, remains to be seen.

Does Vampire 2 have MP?

You mean Bloodlines? If so, then no.
