About the manual and a couple of questions.

Hi, is the manual any good for Wizardry 8? i.e does it tell you more than just how to play the game, like does it list spells in the game etc....?

How long does the game last, is there any replay value? What level can you take your characters to? Thanks in advance for any input!

The manuel can be quite useful in explaining several things if you have never played a wizardry game before.

How long? Depends on how long you want to kill monsters to reach that next level.

Replay value? Lots if you're big on character creation.

Max level? 50, I think. Good luck ever reaching it.

After countless hours playing Wiz8, I still refer to the manual from time to time (unlike most games) so I'd say it's above average. It does list all the spells, among many other things.

How long? Depends a great deal on how many side quests you want to do, but I don't think 80+ hours would be completely out of line. I personally have won the game 3 times, with 2 more parties that made it about 3/4 of the way thru. I rarely replay RPGs.

There's supposedly a cap at level 50, but I don't know of anyone that every got to it, even when they tried. Most winning parties with the standard 6 characters end up around level 30.
