Baldurs Gate 2: Max AC and HP regen queries

Playing through a 3rd time, 2nd time with ToB installed. I was wondering a few things.

********************

In BG1 when your CON went over 19 you gained a natural HP regen of roughly 1 HP per minute (real-time). Does this happen in BG2? I can't seem to notice it occuring.

********************

Is the maximum AC -26? Or is that just the maximum displayed?

Unadjusted AC = 10

Dex Modifier -6 (24 dex - from items and stat increases)
Tears of Bhaal -2

Base AC = 2

Shuruppak's Plate -12
Darksteel Shield -5
Amulet of the Master Harper -3
Ring of Gaxx -2
Ring of Earth Control -1
Cloak of the sewers -1
Tzu-zans Bracer -1
Yamato+4 -1
Total From items -26

Adjusted AC = -24

Now the problem is no matter how many magic effects you put on it seems to go no lower than 26? (defensive Harmony -2AC and using greater evasion -6AC).

Max ac that gets calculated against is -26. Which later on still pretty much gets hit on a '2' by things.

HP regeneration is item or spell provided only. High con just gives you more hp (if you're one of the melee classes).
