Since Morrowind is part of a series, despite the fact that almost none of us have ever played it, is it required that you have knowledge of the first two games in order to understand the story in Morrowind, or is it completely isolated?
PS- sorry for posting so much since registering. I hope I don't annoy any of you. |

I don't know as I haven't played MW yet , but in all the other games the stories were loosely related to each other. You didn't have to know the other games to play each one, but you sure got more fun out of the existing ones if you knew who exactly the King of Worms was when you finally got to deal with him in person, and so on. _________________ Jaz |

Don't worry, there'll be lots of books about history and background info for you to read in the game. |

The amount of text that can be read in Morrowind is equalent to three paperbacks. And you can do your own books with the editor. _________________ Rendelius

Since the other two barely even mention Morrowind (and make no reference to Vvardenfell) the story should make sense to anyone _________________ Ater deus praevalo

Goodstuff.
Hopefully the developers have taken the time to not only focus on the sub-qeusts, the adventures that take place outside of the main story, but the main quest as well. I'm hoping for a bang-up story to go along with the package. |

If they don't tie the side quests in with the main plot, i will be royally pissed. If there is a single NPC in Morrowind who asks me, There is a house in (Town X) infested by (Insert pack of rat/bats or solitary monster) go exterminate them, it's good for 100 gold,
I will (in the words of Jules from pulp fiction):I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers (and make me kill rats) that goes for modders too [/i] _________________ Ater deus praevalo
