How to use winches?
   

How do I use a winch in this game? I take it i need a rope? Where can i find some rope if so?

anyway you just stand next to them and press control (or other action button)
and then it will work

You'll need molerat fat to use those winches.

You have to have molerat fat or grease in your inventory and it will open. Behind the gate is Vino's distillery.

No, there's a container of molerat grease or fat on the ship and one of the farmer's Ehnim or Egill has one. You have to buy it from them, but I haven't figured that one out yet.

Why can't you take molerat fat from molerats? Or even learn it?

well molerats are mostly only dry meat or how u call it (i mean where is not fat) u can see it actually they look kinda red so maybe a molerat contains in very little amounts of fat and Egil or Ehnim has collected it over years that kind of fat by killing many molerats
