It seems that gothic crashes whenever I am fighting more than 3 enemies at once.

Has anyone else encountered this or does anyone know how to fix it?

Im using a...
Athalon xp 1700
geforce 3 ti200
256mb ram
win 2000

all latest drivers

Change the sound provider to DirectSound HW and disable reverb.
