Bloodmoon UK release - 4th July 2003

The Bloodmoon UK release date (previously 27th June 2003) has slipped. It's now (unofficially) going to be a 4th July 2003 release.

The Ubi-Soft website isn't saying anything, indeed the only mention of Bloodmoon on its site is a single press release from the 6th! However, Game is listing the new date for it, and no shops I tried today have got it. C'est la vie!

Do you know how much effort it takes to give a werewolf a realistic British accent?

No, there should be no changes between the versions - they don't bother changing spellings or anything. I'd guess Ubi-Soft just dropped the ball on duplication. Ah well. Plenty of time to kill more ghosties...

(Aryton Decus the 4th level Imperial warrior is currently raiding Ancestral Tombs in SW Vvardenfell. Apart from a lot of combat experience, he's gathered and sold huge numbers of magical arrows. If anyone wants any arrows, go to Balmora - the shops are literally overflowing with them!)

Additional: There seems to be some confusion on this now. There are (unconfirmed) reports from some people that Bloodmoon is on sale in some places in England and France.

Also, the cynical might note that being pushed back to the 4th means that Bloodmoon will coincidentally be released on same day as the new Warcraft3 and NWN expansions.

Those who are really paranoid might think that if one shop has it they all must have it, and further infer that if it's not widely available it must be because they've been told not to sell it by Ubi-Soft, because Ubi-Soft want it to go head to head with the other expansions.

Naturally, no-one here is cynical enough to make that kind of inference...

Okay, looking good for the 4th. My local Game got it delivered today, and say they will be allowed to start selling it on Friday. Hurrah!

I have to say that it really does annoy me that by the time any European gets a new expansion of a game, half the Americans have already finished it. Ach, I suppose it evens out in other ways - we had the third season of Futurama released some months ago, but last I heard America was still waiting for season two...

It switches... Gothic 2 still won't be out in the US until October as far as I know. Atari's website just says coming soon about the game. I had a UK version shipped here a couple of weeks ago but the stateside release is still months away. Stuff like that just happens.

You've been told before that we don't like software piracy at RPGDot. That's your last freebie, InSaNe.
