The Only game I Liked Before Gothic Was Zelda The Ocarina Of Time What a Game that was awesome. But after playing Gothic I got to Go with Gothic because is fantasy but is more down to reality.

Hey, it's strange none of you mention Zanzarah.
That's a very nice game.. in many aspects like gothic.

yeah, well, i know, you play as a 16 year old girl, but that doesn't matter, you are only to tame creatures to fight for you.
i love the game.

Damn, their homepage is down, so i can't see.
But hey! It's meant for adults/teens.
Wandering around in the forest brings up almost exsactly the same feeling as i had in gothic.
Developers are german too

The homepage will hardly come online again. Zanzarah was developed by Funatics, a sister company of PB. They had the bad luck that both titles in the pipeline (Zanzarah and Cultures 2) were close to completion when Phenomedia went bankrupt. Funatics had to close shops at the end of July.

Zanzarah is a weird, interesting genre mix. Reviews in Germany were between 70% and 85%. Details and a long English review from a few days ago can be found in the games list.

Maybe because Phenomedia is the mother company?
All this has been explained more than once.

Zanzarah. ?? never heard of it, i also finished (as i said in my older signature) link to the past, ocarina of tima, and Majoras Mask, but earlier though, if i have to choose a storyline link to the past was the best, and i liked a lot ocarina of time, i think that olders rpg's like zelda, chrono trigger, they were a loooooooot better than the new ones, (im not speaking 'bout theyr graphics, but the storyline) I'm going to start a poll 'bout the best rpg ever played by you ppl
Of course im going to vote for Chrono Trigger , here i go

Was this the same games convention Jaz attended? Wow... these conventions can be a breath of life not only to gamers but games makers too, huh?

1) Ultima9 is the closest thing you'll find to Gothic but with all of its problems, you';re better off leaving it be unless you have a really fast machine. If your machine can handle it though, it truly is a fantastic game.

2) NWN is a GREAT game, the reading isnt that bad at all compared to Morrowind (that game sucks so badly its unreal, esp after all the hype they created around it, but we'll get to that later) and the way the chapters are set up is cool because each chapter has its own set of quests that DO NOT carry over to the next chapter. Its best to solve them all before moving on, just to get all the exp you can before moving on.

3) Summoner is a nice game (kinda) but its Lo0o0o0ong as all hell. In fact its the ONLY game I couldnt finish because I just got bored of it. Plus there is way way WAY too much reading in it.

4) Morrowind was the biggest disappointment...ever. I could easily write a 500 word post on how sterile, boring, uneventful and straight out UNfun this game was. ( I could kick myself for pre-ordering it)
