What does this description of an add-on download mean?

"No more having to load up mods in the construction set to put them lower on your data files loadup list! This little gem will quickly re-order your .esp files however you want them to load/appear on your list. Remember, the lower an esp is on the data files list, the more precedence it has in your game. ( This works great for making sure your "Safix.esp" mod is BELOW your "Tir Thalor.esp" mod for example. )"

What are they talking about when they say "the lower an esp is on the data files list, the more precedence it has in your game"

I thought if you just loaded all the add-ons they would just play in the correct order. I don't understand what this particular download is saying that it will do.

Some mods make use of information (often models) created in other mods. If the "master mod" isn't in place before the "referencing mod" loads, it's likely to cause problems. Your game will load mods in the same order every time, based on the order you installed the mods. If you happened to install the "referencing mod" first, you'd have to back it out, load the "master" and then reload the "referencing".

The little ditty you've found allows you to pick the order mods load, so you don't need to do all that drop/reload nonsense.

Max would you mind telling me where you found this please
Would you happen to have a link to it and if so could you post the link?

Nice concise explanation Dteowner. What you wrote is a lot clearer than the description Max found.

Thanks
