KrabbitWorld Labyrinth: Plenty o' New Screenshots @ Official

As <i>KrabbitWorld Labyrinth</i> (KWL) nears its next public beta phase, the developers have been posting screenshots regularly over the past couple of weeks. You can now see screenies featuring <a href="http://korner.krabbit.com/showthread.php?s=1ee555f21b184fe2f9defad1d657ae00&threadid=1980" target="_blank">weather effects and indoor lighting</a>, <a href="http://korner.krabbit.com/showthread.php?s=1ee555f21b184fe2f9defad1d657ae00&threadid=1975" target="_blank">combat practice</a>, <a href="http://korner.krabbit.com/showthread.php?s=1ee555f21b184fe2f9defad1d657ae00&threadid=1978" target="_blank">environmental and indoor lighting</a>, and <a href="http://korner.krabbit.com/showthread.php?s=1ee555f21b184fe2f9defad1d657ae00&threadid=1982" target="_blank">the trippy colors and textures</a>. There are also <a href="http://korner.krabbit.com/showthread.php?s=1ee555f21b184fe2f9defad1d657ae00&threadid=1979" target="_blank">a couple of new video clips</a> displaying <i>KrabbitWorld's</i> <i>Dynasty Warriors</i>-style combat.

KWL info and linkage...

Hi,

First of all, many thanks for the coverage on KWL.

We recently changed boards from vbulletin to phpbb2 and the links you have posted directly to forum threads are no longer correct tho the topics and threads have the same titles.

You can find the screenshot gallery and videos here

You can find more current screenshots and development info here

We've had a recent release. (Feb. 16th 06)

The info I have posted about the release goes as follows:

Please note that this is not a complete game but does successfully demonstrate
the gameplay mechanics and is quite immersive and fun.
KWL is an immersive 3D simple hack n' slash game evolving into adventure RPG.
It can be played on or offline.

Some of the titles that have inspired us are:
Diablo 2 - style of gameplay.
Soul Calibur 2 - lively kombat animations.
Summoner - immersive 3D and strong storyline.
Kain/Soul Reaver - painterly textures, strong characters and mood.

So hopefully you see their influence in our current demo.

Multiplay is implemented but there are some issues being worked on at the moment.

The tutorial is present but not yet interactive or complete.
There is an extensive help file ingame and enough information to learn the controls and gameplay quickly.

We hope you enjoy it.
Please leave feedback in the appropriate sections of our forum.

Thanks,
Teri Thom a.k.a turbo

--------

We have made considerabl progress since the last release and will be ready for an update shortly. Version 0.5 will have the patcher within it.
The multiplay issues have been resolved.

We like to call our game H.O.M.E. rather than MMORPG as it is IRC driven multiplay unlike other online multiplay games.
Humongous Online Multiplayer Entertainment.
