ok so i'm at the orc i believe he is the 4th shaman, who is NOT undead and is invulnerable to any attack thus far with my 2h 100 dmg axe (can't remember name)......so where do i pick up this "Better weapon" that my diary speaks of?

The problem is that he's not the 4th shaman...he's the 5th, and you missed the 4th shaman, who happens to be guarding the weapon you need. Just search the temple thoroughly, and leave no door unopened. It's not too hard to find.

And the orcish shamen are undead actually... They look different then the other undead, but the backstory has them as undead and the main character keeps commenting the fact that they are wormridden and rotten every time he meets one... Everyone in the temple except for the minecrawlers, templars and Kor Kalom are undead... A minor point, but a point nontheless... I like to nitpick  ...
Anyway... You wont be able to hurt the 5th shaman with any ordinary weapons... You will need a special weapon, but I think you'll figure that out when you get there (having killed all the other shamen that is)... |
