| Do you use headphones with computer games? |

I'm using a cheap headset now, (I like to hear my guns blasting, but the computers are in the family room and the sound conflicts with TV and other things happening) and am considering Sony MDR-V600 headphones, any thoughts on this item? |

I'm using my 5.1 speaker system for gaming, and I like it particularly much because I have an Audigy2 audio card, go EAX 3 and EAX HD. 
But on LAN parties headphones is a must.

I'm 100% headphones so as not to distract the kiddies, but I'm just using a cheapie Koss designed for a Walkman.

Hmmm... I'm a notorious headphones killer, three sets in 5 months, no matter which brand, expensive or cheap.
Interestingly the last set I got - a Logitech Internet Chat headset which came with UT2k4 - is still alive despite my sonny chewing on it, puking all over it etc., so I would gladly recommend it. It's ~30€.

SonyMDRs are decent. I recommend Sennheiser HDs (280, 457, 580, 650). Other phones to look into are Beyerdynamic DT250s and AKG 271s. Some of these are pricey but all are good quality.

I only use headsets lately, havent used the boxes in a few weeks. main reason for that is that I am in a Call of Duty: United Offensive clan, for which I use a program called Ventrilo (almost same as TeamSpeak, but better quality). and some members... know allot more words then others do, if you know what I mean/

I never use headphones, we have a seperate computer-room and so I can isolate me from the rest of the house and let me be blown away by the subwoofer.
