I have already sent this to their tech support, but wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and has found a work around. I have attempted restarting the computer, reinstalling video drivers, going back to an older save game, and reinstalling Gothic.

System Specs
AMD Thunderbird 1100 MHZ
Windows 98 SE
640 MB RAM PC 133
Soundblaster PCI 512
Xtasy GeForce 3 Ti 200 (v 23.11 drivers)
Over 3 gb for Windows to use as a swap file

Other than this... it has been a great game, too bad I can't continue without doing this.

The first thing that comes to my mind is remove the 128MB stick of memory. 640 MB is more than Win9x can (practically) handle.

The second is to disable sound, just because itīs allways a good idea.

What do you mean this error comes when you reach the end of the old cave?
I assume you are talking about the Old Mine, but 'end' can mean different things.

Such a crash is very uncommon. A lot of people have driver related problems, but once they got Gothic running virtually everybody here was able to finish the game.

PBīs response can take some time. Itīs common practice in Germany to have employees take 2 of their 6 weeks off around Christmas, to save ressources for busy times. I remember somebody mentioned an email from PB talking about Christmas holidays a few days ago.
