Im having trouble becoming a shadow, joining the old camp. Ive done everything i can think of and diego says im worthy and a good man or whatever. The only thing im not sure about is im wondering if i need to train in lockpicking from fingers so he will put in a good word for me.
The other thing is whether i have to kill Kirpa or whoever the guy who runs the OC arena is. I have already challenged and lost to the NC guy K something. That is all settled and fine. Please help i know its a long quest but the mini quests have to stop sometime dont they? |

You need to pay attention to what people say in this game. Read your journal of past and current quests. I was able to become a shodow without taking a thiefing skill. I believe that picking the lock and the alchemist lab and getting dexters formula counts as a thiefing skill. Remember fingers said something about improving thiefing skills, picking a lock or stealing something?
You only have to challange and lose to the guy in the arena. Then talk to Sully to get your journal update and experience. |

Does Diego say "and you have passed the test of fate" If not, check your log, people usually forget that quest.

who is Sully?
to get into the old camp you must complete 5 of the 6 shadow-given quests. you dont have to kill or even challenge Kharim in the arena, but you may have to defeat Kirgo.
heres a list of the quests that must be accomplished(5 of 6) to join the old camp
Sly:Find Nek
Dexter:Get Potion igredient list from Cor Kalom
Scatty: Take out Kirgo
Fingers: Learn thieving
Whistler: Get sword from Fisk
You may also do Thorus's quest but it is not necessary as far as i know. IN addition you must do the test of faith from Diego(go to Ian and get list) |

and for whistlers quest i dont think you have to bring the sword to him. in the demo i ran off with the ore and when i talked to diego later he said, "you clever bastard cleared off with the ore" or something, it doesnt sound like it is counting against you, but be warned, if you do run off with the $$$ whistler will attack you on site. |
