Where is Lance?
   

I have been looking for Lance (the guy the water mages sent into the swamp) but I never could find him. Can anyone help me?

Head down the path into the swamp. Go to where the path stops, then turn to your right slightly (about 45 degrees) and he's about six meters away under some bushes. He indeed didn't get very far.
