Elven Graveyard and Dwarves/Orc cave... |
|
Help..
I have gone to the camp where the dwarves go to after doing some Elven grave defiling.
I have entered the cave and cleared that small area.
But then, I step on the "tile" that takes you below, where some woman and about 10 dwarves are.
I dont know her name and I dont survive long enough to give any more details....
Any hints on defeating her? She summons a Death Knight and with him and the 10 Dwarves, I have no chance.
I have used "Bless" and supped some Strength potions. I have my Sword of Chaos which does up to 118 damage and I have maxed in Meteor Strike..but this don't help as I last about 6 seconds max.....

Stock up on health potions and mana potions.
Ignore all other creatures and focus on her alone. Stun and freezing damage will prevent her from casting. After killing her you can mop up. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I'm stuck on this part too, with my 28th level mage.
That woman seems to be too hard to kill, and she has 100 spirital res and 75 in all the others |

For a mage, use freezing attacks. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Ok, I killed her with my hell spikes, she seemed to be immune to my frost spell. But there are only 2 elven artifacts left over. Where is the 3rd one?
If this is a bug, is there a fix for it? |

The third one is a high quality magical staff. Very tempting to hold onto. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

The first time I killed her she didn't drop it. I reloaded and killed her again, and this time she did drop the staff. I think there might be a bug here. |

One way (which I found by a sort of accident) was to enter the room, get out as fast as possible and get in again. This time the woman (was it Josephine?) doesn't see you, so she won't attack, only the dwarves will. So kill them first (duh).
In any case, it's better to use a hefty sword than magic against these guys, just remember that casting restoration takes time to cast, thus taking away possible hits with your sword (or whatever melée weapon) whereas drinking health potions doesn't, so drink up. Also worth noting is that using smaller health potions is probably better, because you can just keep on clicking (ie. drinking) without fear of losing too much energy (or potion as well) in the fight. Your health stays at half or over all the time if you keep quaffing small potions every half-a-second (well, okay, it's more like ten clicks per second, but you get the point (is there a point? (Yes, there is, and stop interrupting me, me (?) ) ) ). Um... okay...
Also use the magic barrier spell, the one that absorbs PHYSICAL damage, not magical. This helps enormously with the dwarves. The lady in question is not too hard to beat when you don't have those little men with too big axes with her... _________________ "Ooooh, fishy fishy fishy FISH! ...And it followed me, wherever I did go..." |

I've tried a number (close to 20) of times to get the 3rd item, no luck so far, I never get more than 2 and since that 3rd item is needed to finish the game it's a major bug. I've deleted the game as playing on is a waste of time. DD is yet another case of corporate software piracy, demanding payment for bugridden software is no better than ripping by the warezcrowd . |

I encountered similar problems with Josephine but, using the bobytrap skill (I unleashed something like 12 steel scorpions), and a good stock of healing potions together with elemental strike did the trick quite nicely and fast ....Hope that helps... |
