The Roots.

Maybe it's just me, but these screenshots remind me of the two (IMO) best RPG's ever.

Gotic&Gothic II

Look at the atmosphere and how it looks, it looks alittle influenced by gothic, and that IS a very good thing. Look at that grass and that swamp-like area. I think it looks good. This is a normal CRPG like Gothic, not MMORPG .
I hope the combat-system will be real-time like in Gothic, this is one to watch for. Coming september this year.

Strange. The articles I pulled up about it said it was coming out for the XBox.

*shrugs* I have to admit that the screen shots look like a console game.

It was originally announced for PC but the new Cenega micro-site lists consoles as well.

Can't really form an opinion yet because I've seen more information for Duke Nekem Forever than this title.

Ah yes Duke Nukem Never you mean, it really never is coming out. Not even waiting for it anymore , it's pathetic what the developers are doing. plus Duke is a sorry-ass never liked the game, therefore wasn't looking forward to it .

Anyway, The Roots is a Xbox AND Pc title.

It's probably a cross-platform title, so don't get your hopes up. However, I do like the look of the graphics and environments. The one thing I wish they would change (but they won't ) is the way they do the characters. They look anime'd, which is pretty common in games, especially console titles. I despise anime, but the game looks neat regardless.

It doesnt look very good. Looks very shallow and doesnt even appear to come close to Gothics level of Sophistication (Graphical or otherwise).

I will keep an open mind for now, but my first oppinion is usualy correct...
