Maybe it's just me, but these screenshots remind me of the two (IMO) best RPG's ever.
Gotic&Gothic II
Look at the atmosphere and how it looks, it looks alittle influenced by gothic, and that IS a very good thing. Look at that grass and that swamp-like area. I think it looks good. This is a normal CRPG like Gothic, not MMORPG .
I hope the combat-system will be real-time like in Gothic, this is one to watch for. Coming september this year.

Strange. The articles I pulled up about it said it was coming out for the XBox. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

*shrugs* I have to admit that the screen shots look like a console game. _________________ If soot stains your tunic, dye it black. This is vengeance.

It was originally announced for PC but the new Cenega micro-site lists consoles as well.
Can't really form an opinion yet because I've seen more information for Duke Nekem Forever than this title. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

Ah yes Duke Nukem Never you mean, it really never is coming out. Not even waiting for it anymore , it's pathetic what the developers are doing. plus Duke is a sorry-ass never liked the game, therefore wasn't looking forward to it .
Anyway, The Roots is a Xbox AND Pc title. _________________ All for respect, all for the bread

It's probably a cross-platform title, so don't get your hopes up. However, I do like the look of the graphics and environments. The one thing I wish they would change (but they won't ) is the way they do the characters. They look anime'd, which is pretty common in games, especially console titles. I despise anime, but the game looks neat regardless. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

It doesnt look very good. Looks very shallow and doesnt even appear to come close to Gothics level of Sophistication (Graphical or otherwise).
I will keep an open mind for now, but my first oppinion is usualy correct... _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |
