Being an American for about 17 years now...it is agreeable that there are many who dislike nudity in all forms no matter how risque. ...these people, (and i hope one of them reads this) are usually 300 pound butch women with buzz-cuts who can't get any so they try to take it away from those who do. Gothic 2 is probably at the very bottom considering how a few are still trying to ban the sale of Duke Nukem 3D. ...now i'll let all of you sit back and say to yourself, "damn, that's pathetic" but it's true. But what a lot of you non-americans should know is that even though we have all of these groups against nudity, sex, violence, etc, it's usually the leaders of the groups who are the worst offenders of all. Hell, u need an example, take a look at that little incident with all of those priests and their so called "alter" boys. Whether or not the scene and painting will be deleted (i don't have the game i just read this) it's most likely going to happen. ...well...atleast the scene, it's just due to the fact that PB or Atari just wants to avoid the trouble altogether which is understandable because who wants some old shriveled dude taking them to court every other week just so he can secure his place as a "good republican" ...which, by the way, i'm still waiting to see. A part of me hopes that G2 won't delete anything and keep the game as a whole so we can get the full experience that all of you get. But i highly doubt it.

Most Americans want to be look like they are perfect conservative to other people; but in reality behind the closed door, they are the more into 'bad' things because of the repression it causes. Hypocrits, lawyers and the whole lot should go.
Movies and television in USA have more sex, violence, and just plain politically correct sickness compared to video game's mild form. If a parent does not want a minor to have a certain game, that is up to the parent and leave goverment censcorship out of it. That is called true free speech written into our constition which our supreme court uses for toliet paper.
I am a conservative Independent (Republican and Democrats are just the same party playing thier game to stay in power), I believe in free speech and if you want to watch it; then go ahead. I do and it is my constitutional right; not for the goverment to decide what information I should have. Remember we had a 1 st admendant right to Free Speech but not any more with all the judicial court activism going on. Watch what you say in USA or you will be 'labeled' a ...
It is called being political correctness = communism and other *isms, Ultimate Control of the People. Post war countries have more freedom than we 'think' we do; we gave it up in the name of 'security' and now we have niether in the end. Ben Franklin.

I wouldn’t really call the brothel scene obscene…Hell, if I’m not mistaken; prostitution is the oldest profession in the world. As for their skins, they do need to be changed to something…a little more provocative. What woman in their right mind would where a dress that covers their whole body? Have you ever seen a hooker on the street wearing a long dress? Hell no…It’s all about eye candy.
The towns people could stand for a wardrobe make over.

Question, would the skins for Gomez’s girls work in G2 or are they incompatible? IMO, that is what the girls in the cat house should be wearing. Not some ugly full length dress…Their hookers not school marmes.

About that painting, that's Gomez from gothic 1 and the chics are his slaves sent to him by the king. When you visited his room in Gothic 1 you could see them in their bikinis sleeping, bathing or washing the floors.
Yeah, he was a badass. But it was fun kicking his fat ass all over the place  |

Since this game is supposed to be a fantasy take-off of medieval times, you only need to look to medieval times to see that hookers DID INDEED wear full-length dresses. NO-ONE wore short skirts before 1900! (in the western world anyway)
Of course, they did wear low-neck tops, that was quite evident
But somewhere along the line, someone, probably a AD&D player, decided that fantasy chicks should wear skin tight clothing and "bikinis", of course thats just based on modern point-of-view. |

lol, like i said before, the bikinis are already there, just use marvin mode to possess a female character and drop everything in her inventory or just the armor and bingo! |
