Which is the best to join in G2?

- The paladins in Khorinis
- The mages in the monastery
- Onar and the mercenaries

And give your opinion about why that one is the best.

I think Onar and the mercenaries, 'cause then you earn money every day.

I've always found the mercenaries more fun to play, even in G1. Somehow the missions are more "free". The armor is just cooler then wearing that red guard armor anyway...or a dress for that matter :p I think save for the special armors the heavy mercenary armor is the best looking one out of all of them.

Well, I am still busy to become a mercenary, but I can't beat the 2 militia-men on Bengar's (?) farm. And they told me I should get money, but I have not yet experienced that.

And thanks for your opinions. Keep 'em coming.

I'm playing as a mercenary/Dragon Hunter now, but I got paid by Onar just one time. >>>[minor spoiler?]<<< Then I took too long time for a quest (I think it's the one LexXx is doing), and Torlof said it to Onar. Then he refused to pay me. And he don't pay Dragon Hunters either.[/minor spoiler]

I chose to play as a Dragon Hunter to get a more challanging(sp?) gameplay, and a cooler armor.

But I think the Paladins is the best to join, as they are the only ones the can have a good combination of fighting skills and rune magic. They also have an awfully good armor.

I've rather grown fond of the mage especially when you start to gain enough mana to stay on the battlefield for some time. My formula is fire, lightning and skeltons and it is a very sucessful one. And in the endstages of the game, when you can finally cast those sixth circle spells nothing can stop you. It is fun having 10 Lizardmen charging at you and then taking them out with a Rain of Fire or a few Army of Darkness.

No, you mean the quest to search in the Valley of Mines/Old Prison Colony. That's in chapter 2. I mean the test you need to pass to become a mercenary: Kill the 2 militia's on Bengar's farm. And first I couldn't beat them, but I made it and have become a mercenary. And I got paid once to. 50 gold coines + 10 gold coines, because I found a golden wedding plate for Onar's wife.

I like being a paladin very much i wasnt wearing the red and white armor a lot im now wearing a cool knight armor slaying orcs and seekers (and more) enjoing some (very) good magic runes, walking around in the vally of mines like its my bathroom (no interrupsions )...
I say being a paladin is the BEST! i enjoy close combats, rang combats and magic runes (and not only teleport kind...).

I like merc. because u meet old friends and they have 6 diff. armours and the weapon u get at the end is POWERFULLLLLL!!!! And the pay system makes things like real life u wake at the morning and go and get ur days payment and if u werent there yesterday u get nothing (Just like reallife)
Paladins are also good and also the easyest to play.

Don't you get the armors and weapon when joining the militia?

If u a merc. u only get the light merc armor all other's u have to buy.
And weapons u have to make your self or buy them.
There are 3 merc armors and 3 dragon hunter armors.

I have a question: Can I enter the monastery later on or can't I enter the monastery anymore once you're a militia or mercenary??

now that i have completed the game. personaly i think not joining a guild and becoming a freelancing hunter is the most enjoyable.

yes you can enter the monastery once joining either the mercs or militia.
it becomes very important to enter it actually.
